When preparing to move out of a rented property, it is important to leave it in a clean and well-maintained condition. The following checklist provides a comprehensive guide for the end of tenancy cleaning process:

What to expect during the visit:
 

1. General Cleaning

   • Vacuum and mop all floors, including carpets, hardwood, and tiles.

   • Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including countertops, shelves, and furniture.

   • Clean windows, window sills, and frames.

   • Wipe down and disinfect light switches, doorknobs, and handles.

   • Remove cobwebs from ceilings and corners.

   • Clean and dust curtains and blinds.

2. Kitchen

   • Clean and degrease all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, backsplash, and cabinets.

   • Clean the inside and outside of all kitchen appliances, such as the refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher.

   • Empty and clean cupboards and drawers, removing any food crumbs or spills.

   • Clean and polish the sink, faucets, and drain.

   • Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, and cutlery.

3. Bathroom

   • Clean and disinfect the toilet, including the seat, bowl, and tank.

   • Scrub and sanitize the bathtub, shower, and tiles.

   • Clean and polish bathroom fixtures, such as sinks, faucets, and mirrors.

   • Wipe down and sanitize bathroom cabinets and drawers.

   • Remove limescale from showerheads and faucets.

4. Bedrooms and Living Areas

   • Vacuum and clean all carpets, rugs, and upholstery.

   • Dust and wipe down all furniture, including tables, chairs, and shelves.

   • Clean and polish mirrors and glass surfaces.

   • Remove any marks or stains from walls and doors.

   • Empty and clean out wardrobes, closets, and drawers.

5. Additional Areas

   • Clean and sweep the entryway or hallway.

   • Dust and wipe down staircases and banisters.

   • Clean and organize any outdoor areas, such as balconies or patios.

   • Empty and dispose of all trash and recyclables.

All end of tenancy visits include the cleaning of one hob and one fridge freezer any additional appliances will be charged at £18 per appliance, £30 per extra room.
